In a completely packed room, award-winning poet Jenny Xie read pieces from her new book, Eye Level, which recently made the top-10 list for the prestigious National Book Award.

Now in its third year, the English and World Literatures Department’s semi-annual Lit City reading series brings published writers from the New York City area to campus. EWL is so incredibly grateful to have hosted such a fantastic artist, Jenny Xie, for the Fall 2018 Lit City reading on Monday, September 17. After hearing excerpts from her new book of poetry, students had the chance to ask Ms. Xie questions regarding her writing process, her sources of inspiration, and if she had any career advice for young, blossoming poets. Thank you again to everyone who attended and made last night such a memorable evening!
