This is the second story in our Science in the City series, which highlights how MMC students take advantage of the scientific opportunities that NYC has to offer. This recurring series will showcase scientific experiences of our majors in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Behavioral Neuroscience, and Urban & Environmental Sustainability.
On Thursday, December 5, 2019, the Science Society and the Department of Natural Sciences hosted an alumni panel featuring four recent Biology alumni working in the NYC metro area. The alumni represented three of the premier biomedical research institutions in New York City, including Rockefeller University (Kevin Mora ’19), Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (Elevit Perez ’16), and Weill Cornell Medical College (Jennifer Lentine ’10), along with our own Marymount Manhattan (Emma Kamen ’18). More than 35 current students attended the panel to benefit from the advice and wisdom of our alumni. The panel was organized by Julia Furnari ’20, current President of the Science Society student club. Thank you all for a wonderful event!
