IMPORTANT: Pass/Fail Grading Option Form

Dear MMC Students,

I hope this email finds you well. We truly miss you and can’t wait to welcome you back to campus as soon as possible.

As Dean Peter Naccarato wrote to you on April 2, in response to current global events, we are working hard to ensure that you can continue your education and flourish at MMC. As part of that effort, he announced that you would have the option to choose Pass/Fail grades for some or all of your spring 2020 courses. He explained that you would be able to select this option after you have received your letter grades from your  professors. Once you receive your grades, you can submit a request to convert one or more of your grades from the letter grade you received to a Pass (P) grade.

The form to request this change will be available here on May 19th. Once submitted, you will be able to see the change of grade in your MMC Connect account within five business days.

Graduating Seniors must submit their Pass/Fail Grading requests by Monday, June 1, 2020 so that their transcripts can be finalized and their degrees can officially be conferred.

Continuing Students have until Monday, June 15, 2020 to submit their requests for Pass (P) grades. Students who studied abroad during the spring 2020 semester have until August 15, 2020 to submit their requests.

It is important to note that choosing to receive Pass (P) grades is final and cannot be reversed.

For information about how the Pass (P) grade affects your GPA or financial aid and for answers to other questions, please visit the Pass/Fail Grading Option FAQ . If you cannot find the answer to your question there, please feel free to reach out to the Advisement Office (advisement@mmm.edu) or Financial Aid (financialaid@mmm.edu).

As you consider this option, please continue talking with your professors in each of your courses and your faculty advisors – they are here to help you through this challenging semester.

Best,
