Science Labs Will Be In-Person This Fall

  • Biomedical Sciences major Jordan Barnett ’21 in the organic chemistry laboratory
Students will have the option to take biology, chemistry, and physics labs in-person this fall.

The Department of Natural Sciences is committed to educating the next generation of science and health care professionals. Hands-on instruction is crucial to ensuring an effective learning experience in the laboratory. Therefore, students will have the option to take science labs in-person at Marymount Manhattan College in Fall 2020, contingent on coronavirus safety directives in New York State. This includes labs in the following subjects:

General Biology I (BIOL 220)
Human Anatomy (BIOL 136)
Microbiology (BIOL 320)
General Chemistry I (CHEM 234)
Organic Chemistry I (CHEM 318)
General Physics I (PHYS 261)

All laboratories will adhere to strict social distancing guidelines, and CDC regulations will be strictly followed to minimize the chance of viral transmission. Alternatively, students can elect to take labs remotely through synchronous video instruction. For more information, please contact Professor Ann Aguanno, Chair of Natural Sciences.
