MMC Alumni Elected to State House of Representatives

During the November 3 general election, two MMC alumni, Tom Fabricio ’05 and Raghib Allie-Brennan ’13, were elected to serve in their respective State House of Representatives.

Tom Fabricio ’05 is a graduate of MMC’s English and World Literatures and Political Science programs and holds a law degree from Nova Southeastern University. Running as a Republican, he defeated incumbent Democrat Cindy Polo and was elected to represent Florida’s House District 103. He assumed office on the night of the election and his term will end on November 8, 2022.

Raghib Allie-Brennan ’13, a graduate of MMC’s International Studies program, was re-elected to his position as the State Representative serving Connecticut’s House of Representatives 2nd Assembly District. Allie-Brennan first took office in 2018 and represents the Democrat Party. During the November 3 election, he defeated Republican challenger Dan Carter to remain in office.

Ann Brancato, who studied Pre-Med while at MMC, ran for New York’s 9th Assembly District in Long Island as a Democrat but was defeated by incumbent Yvette D. Clarke.

Maria Andrews ’17, a graduate of the International Studies and Dance programs and a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant, managed Tara Zrinski’s campaign for Pennsylvania House of Representatives District 138.

These campaigns, no matter the outcome, exemplify the hard work, ambition, and dedication that characterizes the MMC community.

Great work by all of our alumni, and congratulations to Tom and Raghib!
