MMC Presents Student Films at Fifth Floor Film Festival

Marymount Manhattan College is excited to announce the Fifth Floor Film Festival, a showcase of film projects from students in the Communications major. Premiering on May 22 at 5 p.m. on Youtube and at, the event promises to be a fun and exciting way to support students after their year-long creative endeavors.

The Fifth Floor Film Festival is a multicultural, multigenre film festival created for graduating filmmakers to highlight their talent and hard work. The festival looks to bring together students, staff, and industry professionals in celebration, promotion, and appreciation for the next generation of filmmakers and content creators.

Associate Professor of Communication and Media Arts Dan Hunt, MFA, and Associate Professor of Communication and Media Arts, Erin Greenwell, MFA, normally organize the festival, but this year the two offered the role to any willing student as a replacement for making a student film. Cerqua, President of the College’s TV Studio Club, took up the challenge with the goal of making a festival “special for everyone after such a rough final year.”
