MMC Hosts II + 20 September Series: The City Since

Featuring lectures, open course sessions, writing sections, creative endeavors, and city outings, the II+20 September Series explores New York City and the world twenty years post-9/11. The series is sponsored by the Department of History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies in partnership with faculty across the college.

“Many of our students are post-9/11 babies—the event professors will never forget is one very few students now remember,” says Associate Professor of History and Politics and Human Rights Lauren Brown, Ph.D. “It fundamentally shaped the world they grew up in and the city New Yorkers live in today. We hope these events provide an opportunity for students, from all fields of study, to reflect on how history shapes our daily lives, while also learning more about the city we call home.”

The series is open to all members of the MMC community. See below for a list of scheduled events.
