Creative Writing Alum Mia Innocenti ’20 Receives Fellowship

Aspen Summer Words is an annual literary conference that is recognized as one of the most anticipated events of its kind. Mia will attend workshops with acclaimed writers, participate in meetings with literary agents, and watch panel discussions.

The conference’s website states, “In its commitment to support new literary voices, Aspen Words provides Summer Words fellowships to emerging writers demonstrating exceptional talent and promise. Candidates are nominated by writers, agents, editors and others associated with publishing. In our previous cycle, we received over two hundred and fifty nominations. Fellows receive a full scholarship to Aspen Summer Words in June, including tuition, airfare, shared lodging and some meals.”
