Natural Sciences Students Wow Audience at Honors Day

Two Natural Sciences undergraduates presented their original scientific research at Marymount Manhattan’s annual Honors Day Colloquium on April 14, 2022.

Senior Shadé Eleazer delivered a talk on “Interplay of sexual arousal and aggression in the social dynamics of Drosophila,” research she conducted through her internship at Rockefeller University.

Junior Iris Parke presented a talk entitled “Enrichment of Aromatic Carbon in Peat Over Millennial Timescales by ATR-FTIR Spectroscopy” for research she conducted in the Biogeochemistry Research Lab at MMC with Prof. Alessandra Leri. Iris won the Student-Faculty Collaboration Award for her project.
