MMC Dance alumni, Lily Sheppard ’22, Ragin Smith ’20, and Diovanna Obafanmilayo ’16 were recently featured in Crossroads, a curated series presented by the arts organization Pioneers Go East Collective.
Held at the 14th Street Y, the series champions radical LGBTQ and feminist artists—most of them BIPOC, Latinx, and/or immigrants—who explore new genres and known performance and art-making modes.
Obafanmilayo performed a self-choreographed spiritual dance, “KOLÉ,” and Sheppard and Smith performed “WITHIN LIMIT,” a piece choreographed and directed by MMC Dance alum Lavy ’21. To learn more about the Crossroads series, click here .
