WLL Professor Cecilia Feilla Publishes Short Story, Book Chapter

Associate Professor of Writing, Literature, and Language Cecilia Feilla, Ph.D., recently published two works of fiction and scholarship in Epiphany Literary Journal and Last Scene of All: Representing Death on the Western Stage.

In “Seeing Red,” a short story published by Epiphany on March 10, Dr. Feilla reexamines the tale of Little Red Riding Hood from the wolf’s perspective. Tapping into the truth of wolf behavior in the wild but never underestimating the intelligence of the humans they hunt, she creates an engaging and sinister story.

As for Last Scene of All, Dr. Feilla has contributed a chapter called “Crypts, Corpses, and Living Tombs on Stage during the French Revolution: Crises of Burial and Mourning.” This draws from many aspects of her academic career; she unites her interests in French history and theatrical expression to explore the places where they intersect. The book was published by Legenda in fall 2022.

Congratulations, Dr. Feilla!
