NPR Publishes Book Review by Writing Professor Tahneer Oksman

Associate Professor of Academic Writing Tahneer Oksman, Ph.D., published a review of Briana Loewinsohn’s debut graphic novel, Ephemera, on NPR’s website this week.

The review draws on Dr. Oksman’s expertise in visual storytelling and writing. In the past, she has brought this knowledge to MMC with classes such as Graphic Storytelling, Visual Memoir, and Comics as Literature.

Creative Writing Professor Katherine Damm Published, Awarded in The Iowa Review

Readers of The Iowa Review’s 2022/23 Winter issue may recognize a familiar name among the contributors. Visiting Assistant Professor Katherine Damm had her short story, “The Happiest Day of Your Life,” published. In addition, she has won the magazine’s Tim McGinnis Award.
