Sophomore Biology major Juliet Hernandez delivered a talk on “Impact of Urbanization on the Size of Insect Larvae in the Bronx River.” Juliet was sponsored by Assistant Professor of Biology Dr. Matthew Lundquist.
Senior Biomedical Sciences major Iris Parke spoke about her work on “The World’s Least Understood Carbon Sink: Spectroscopic Analysis of Peat’s Sequestered Organic Matter.” Biology post-bac student Eliana Fassihi presented her research on “Fecal Indicator Bacteria in New York City Playgrounds.” Iris and Eliana were sponsored by Professor of Chemistry Dr. Alessandra Leri. Eliana received the Student-Faculty Collaboration Award from the Honors Day Committee.
