  • Victoria Whalen ’21
Victoria Whalen ’21, an alumna of our Biology and Urban & Environmental Sustainability programs, is using her science background in a unique way.

After graduating from MMC in 2021 with a dual degree in Biology and Urban & Environmental Sustainability, Victoria Whalen began law school at the University of Oregon, specializing in Environmental Law.

Now a second-year law student, Victoria was recently featured in the Washington Post for her activism regarding Eugene’s electrification mandate. She was also featured in Teen Vogue in a piece on the intersection between racist land use practices and environmental justice. As Victoria says, “Environmental justice is my passion and I want to do everything in my power to make sure the people and the planet are green and clean for future generations.”

Congratulations, Victoria, and thank you for your advocacy!
