Photo Gallery: Rowley Society Brunch-n-Learn
What’s even better than brunch? A brunch-n-learn with classmates and friends! On April 10, members of the Rowley Society dined in the Regina Peruggi Room and took in a faculty presentation by Art and Art History Chair Hallie Cohen. Cohen walked them through her recent exhibit Mi Ricordo: Roman Watercolors, which was on display in The Hewitt Gallery this semester.
The show—Cohen’s first at the gallery, where she also serves as director—featured a series of 12-foot x 5-foot ink paintings that transported viewers to Roman landscapes depicting antiquities such as the Aracoeli steps, Aqueduct Park, and the Mausoleum of Hadrian. She also took Rowley members to another recent exhibit in The Judy’s Digital Immersion Studio: Tea Party, an installation by Art students that pays homage to an iconic 1970s work of art.
