“The whole trajectory of my life/career changed after my first class in the GSS minor with Professor Guzman. It was like every single class I took for the minor completely changed my world view, and it wasn’t just me, I could feel the whole class being challenged and made better because of it. On the one hand it lifted the veil from my eyes to the many injustices of the world but on the other hand gave me the strength and drive to fight against them. Being in the Gender and Sexuality Studies program at MMC was an experience that totally changed my life and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.”
Chelsea graduated in 2012 with a BA in Communication Arts and a minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies for which she received a certificate in the minor. She is currently living in Woodbridge, New Jersey where she’s pursuing her masters in Women and Gender Studies at Rutgers University. After completion she hopes to pursue a career in a non profit organization that focuses on social justice and equality for marginalized groups.
