Emily was awarded the prestigious Watson Fellowship as a rising sophomore. A major in International Business, Emily participated in the Emerging Leaders Program, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, and appeared on the Dean’s List. Additionally, Emily was involved with GallopNYC, which provides a therapeutic outlet to individuals with disabilities through horse-back riding.
As a Junior, Emily received the Benjamin A. Gilman International Award, a competitive fellowship funded by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and administered by Institute of International Education. The Gilman Scholarship supports recipients as they undertake internships or educational programs abroad to enhance cultural competency. Emily spent a semester in Thailand, taking courses at the university while working with women and children in the region. In her senior year, Emily traveled to Costa Rica, immersing herself in social programs as part of her Watson Fellowship.
