Terry Dame

About

Terry Dame is a NYC based composer, sound artist, instrument builder, multi-instrumentalist and educator. She is currently on faculty at Marymount Manhattan College and the MFA Computer Art  and BFA Film Departments at the School of Visual Arts. Dame holds a MFA in Performance and Composition from the California Institute of the Arts.
In addition to teaching, Ms. Dame tours internationally performing and giving workshops on instrument building and experimental sound making. She has received grants and commissioning funds from HarvestWorks, Fractured Atlas, Mary Flagler Cary Charitable Trust, The Rockefeller Foundation, New York State Council for the Arts, Meet the Composer Fund and the Franklin Furnace Archive.
