Tour of Central Park

About

During a historical walking tour of Central Park, students posed in front of the Alice in Wonderland sculpture. Created in 1858, Central Park was intended to be a place for urban dwellers and visitors alike to experience “the great outdoors” and to celebrate the many things that NYC has to offer: the arts and entertainment, inventiveness, science, and business. Students explored the numerous sculptures and installations throughout the park, learning “how to see” these unique monuments, how to grasp their purpose, and to ask questions about them and the essence of NYC.
