Kim Elliott, dance choreographer, educator and director obtained her M.A. in dance education, from NYU Steinhardt, where she was a recipient of the Outstanding in Dance Education award. She received her B.S. from F.I.T. in Marketing and Communications. An NYC native, Kim’s first love has always been Hip Hop/Street dance. Although her training extends to other dance forms, she always used Hip Hop and Street Dance Culture as a creative tool to inspire others and tell stories. Currently Kim is the Artistic Director and Choreographer of Kim Elliott Dance and teaches at The Beacon School, NYU, Marymount Manhattan College, Rutgers University and Sacred Heart University. Kim has performed and choreographed at various venues including Aaron Davis Hall, Peridance Capezio Center, NYU Skirball Theater, Beacon Theater, Frederick Lowe Theater, Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden, The National Theater in Kampala, Uganda and Jacob Javits Center for the Circle of Sisters Cultural Event.
