Elizabeth Goodridge ’11

Class of 2011, Major in Art History

I chose MMC because the faculty understood the value of a small community that fostered intimate relationships between students and educators. I would have never had this kind of success had it not been for the environment that was provided by the College and the prestigious educators they employ.

Elizabeth Goodridge ’11 was recently appointed Assistant Vice President and Specialist in the Department of American Art at Sotheby’s, the multinational art auction house with headquarters in New York.

During her years at MMC, Elizabeth, an Art History major, held internships in the American Art Department at Christie’s and served as an Assistant to the American art dealer Betty Krulik. She won the Gold Key Award for Excellence in Art History. While in her Senior year, she was hired to work as the Gallery Registrar and Research Assistant at Godel & Co., New York, a position she held for three and one-half years. She then became the Registrar and Gallery Manager at Moeller Fine Art in New York. More recently, she was the Specialist and Head of Sale in the American Art Department at Bonhams auction house.
