Lisa Tachick Hooper ’95

Lisa Tachick Hooper was born and raised in New Mexico and Colorado. She received her BFA cum laude from Marymount Manhattan College in 1995. Lisa danced professionally for 10 years, freelancing with (amongst others) the Albany Berkshire Ballet, Ballet Metropolitano de Caracas (Venezuela), Connecticut Ballet, Dance Galaxy, Chamber Dance Project, Covenant Ballet Theatre, and in the Opening Ceremonies of the 1998 Winter Olympics (Japan).

Lisa and her husband, David, live in Rye, New York, with their three children. Lisa is highly involved in the local community. For six years, she directed or co-directed the Resurrection School’s school play, overseeing and inspiring approximately 70 children annually. From a standing start, Resurrection’s drama club became Resurrection’s most popular after-school activity. Lisa also volunteered with Westchester County’s Meals On Wheels and Open Door Family Medical Center. She currently serves as a member of the School of the Holy Child’s Parents’ Association and Westchester Country Club’s Children’s Committee. Lisa is also a member of the board for Covenant Ballet Theatre (Brooklyn). In addition to her family, Lisa’s passions include yoga, playing piano, and beach volleyball.
