Marnie Brady, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Politics and Human Rights and coordinator of the Social Work minor at MMC. Dr. Brady’s current research examines the contemporary relationship between labor, land, and housing. Her essays and case studies, which center on urban politics and social movements, have been published in Progressive Planning, Poverty & Race, Cities: The International Journal of Urban Policy and Planning, and in the volumes New Labor in New York, and Revolting New York: How 400 Years of Riot, Rebellion, Uprising, and Revolution Shaped a City. Prior to her academic career, Dr. Brady’s professional work included community organizing, social services, and applied research.
