Zakkiyya Taylor

Associate Director for Student and Community Engagement

Since joining MMC in August of 2011, Zakkiyya has held positions in Residence Life and in Student Affairs before becoming a part of the Student Development and Activities Team giving her a well-rounded area of knowledge. She currently serves as the Associate Director of Student and Community Engagement. As Associate Director, she is responsible for managing the Marymount Muscle initiative to get more MMC students involved in community service. In addition, she spearheads Spring New Student Orientation,  MMC Spirit Days, Voter Registration Programming and the MMC Eats Initiative that offers members of the MMC community discounts. Zakkiyya is also the adviser to the Black and Latino Student Association, Sister Circle, Marymount Community Outreach and assists with Campus Ministry initiatives. She is currently pursuing a MS.Ed in Higher Education Administration at Baruch College.
