  • Alicia Williams '14

“Studying sociology helped me to understand myself more, as well as learn about diverse cultures and communities. This, in turn, led me to discover that I love helping and working with people.”

Alicia Williams ’14 always knew she wanted to attend college, but her life took a left turn when she was arrested and incarcerated at a young age. However, through the Bedford Hills College Program, she was able to get a Marymount Manhattan education in sociology while in prison.

In 2016, Williams completed a patient care technician program at Medgar Evers College. She currently works as a financial aid advisor for New Age Training in New York City. She enjoys playing sports, shopping, and spending time with family.
