Briefly describe how you would contribute to implementing the goals of the Theatre Arts Student Council.
Since I was young, theatre as always been my passion, hence why I majoring in it. The fact that I have got the support from my family and my friends to pursue my dream in theatre is something that I am very grateful for, but I know that not everyone has that support. I want to be part of the Theatre Arts Student Council so I can be that support for students. I want them to feel comfortable in this program and make them feel sure that this is what they are suppose to be doing, regardless of what their family might think. I also want to be able to advise faculty when students are feeling uncomfortable, and to make sure that everyone is getting the proper education that they are paying for.
Briefly describe your relevant past experience that would support your work as a representative on the Theatre Arts Student Council.
In high school, I was president of the Tri-M Music Honor Society. As president, I tried my hardest to make everyone feel welcome in the music program. We aimed a lot of our attention on incoming freshman, so we could give them the confidence to join chorus and band, and join the family that we had created. We also did a lot of community service and went to local nursing homes to perform. I think that my position in Tri-M was very similar to what I would be contributing to TASC.
