Briefly describe how you would contribute to implementing the goals of the Theatre Arts Student Council.

I believe one of my strongest traits is to listen to my peers actively. I have created positive relationships with my peers, which has lead to trust. I am able to have honest conversations and facilitate discussions. Students are at the center of the theatre arts, so it is essential for their voices to be heard. Though I love MMC Theatre, there is always room for improvement.

Briefly describe your relevant past experience that would support your work as a representative on the Theatre Arts Student Council.

In High School, I was part of an Arts Leadership Council. This was a group of students that came together to unite different arts groups and vocalize student concerns. This taught me to listen actively to my peers and problem-solve solutions. I was able to enhance my problem-solving skills and learn how to look at situations from different perspectives. I enjoyed working collaboratively with peers from various groups, all with a passion for the arts. I love when people from different perspectives with a similar passion and work with them towards a common goal. This has prepared me to be a student representative.
