“The Business Division at MMC equipped me with the proper tools to be successful and confident as a young professional in the corporate world. Dr. Rao introduced me to several business alumni that provided me with profound guidance, as well as connected me with the recruiter that led to my internship with a Fortune 100 company. Ultimately, the Business Division gives students the opportunity to build professional relationships, learn relevant and exciting material through advanced business courses, and encourages authenticity and collaboration through the entire program.”
Prior to transferring to MMC, Keith began his undergraduate education as a Classical Voice Performance major at the Manhattan School of Music, where he was awarded the Solon E. Summerfield scholarship. At 18 years old, Keith was selected as the classical voice baritone winner for the 2016 National Young Arts competition, joining a community of the most distinguished young artists in the nation. Throughout his time at music conservatory, Keith performed in prestigious venues such as Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, National Sawdust, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Fueled by his passion to improve the world and curious to learn more ways to make a tangible impact, Keith transferred to Marymount Manhattan College to study business. During his time in the Business division, Keith served as President of The National Society of Leadership and Success, Treasurer of the Student Government Association, and President of the Investment Club. Keith earned a place on the Dean’s List every semester and was inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society and the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society, academically representing the top 10% of all upperclassmen.
While at MMC, Keith completed internships in venture capital, management consulting, and completed an internship at Fortune 100 company, Northwestern Mutual, where he ranked as a top 50 Financial Representative in the southern region of the country. In 2021, he participated in the Out for Undergrad Business Conference, the premier business conference for high-achieving LGBTQ+ undergraduate students. In the same year, he transitioned into the Campus Ambassador role, inspired to help other LGBTQ+ undergraduate students obtain the same opportunities to network with the world’s leading firms.
Keith also completed the Google Data Analytics Certificate to gain a foundational skill set in data analytics, focusing on tools such as SQL, Tableau, and R programming. He attributes his academic and professional growth to the Out for Undergrad organization, The Office of Career Services at Marymount Manhattan College, and his Academic Advisor and Business Division Chair, Vandana Rao.
Keith was awarded the highest academic honors for the majors in Finance and Entrepreneurship as well as for the minors in Accounting and Economics. Upon graduation in Spring 2022, Keith joined Deloitte Consulting as a full-time Analyst in the Boston office.
