Benjamin Gillespie (he/him/his) is a Ph.D. candidate in Theatre and Performance at The Graduate Center, CUNY. His research primarily explores the performance of memory, age, and queer identity in experimental theatre and drama. He is Assistant Editor of PAJ: A Journal of Performance and Art. Benjamin has taught in theatre and performance for nearly a decade across New York, including Marymount Manhattan College, The New School, NYU, Colgate University, and the City University of New York. He is currently a fellow at the Schwartz Writing and Communication Institute at Baruch College. His articles and reviews have been published in Performance Research, Theatre Topics, Theatre Journal, PAJ, Theatre Survey, Modern Drama, Canadian Theatre Review, and Theatre Research in Canada, along with a number of edited anthologies. Most recently, he co-edited a special issue of PAJon “Global Voices in the Time of Coronavirus” featuring artists, thinkers, and playwrights from all over the globe.
