About

Jaynie Saunders Tiller is the Executive Director/Producer of New Georges, where she joined in 2011, after trying on organizations of various sizes and realizing she liked being strategically small (as an organization) and collaborating with artists directly. Founded in 1992, New Georges advocates for an intergenerational ecosystem of exuberant theatrical minds, furthering fierce new works along with long-term wellbeing, expanding aesthetic boundaries and gender equity in tandem. During her time at the company, she has produced over twenty world premieres.

Previously, she worked on BAM’s producing team and in development departments at New Dramatists, Princess Grace Foundation, and ART/New York. Before moving to New York, she worked in the artistic producing office at Dallas Theater Center, where she co-produced the Fresh Ink/Forward Motion Series, a series of new works.

In 2017, Jaynie joined the adjunct faculty at Marymount Manhattan College and teaches History & Missions of Arts Institutions and Fundraising & Marketing for the Arts. She has previously taught at Brooklyn College (where she received her MFA in Performing Arts Management) and Montclair State University; has guest lectured at New York University and Columbia University; and served on panels for the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, Brooklyn Arts Council, A.R.T./New York and Theatre Communications Group.

She’s also the Chief Operating Officer of Little Sister Creative, an event design company based in Brooklyn.
