About

Leo Yu-Ning Chang is a bilingual actor, singer, and educator based in NYC. Currently, Chang serves as the Lead Diversity Officer at Musical Theatre Educators Alliance (MTEA).

Originally from Taiwan, Chang is a co-founder of an award-winning A Cappella Band- Guess What, nominated for the Best Vocal Group at the 28th Golden Melody Awards, equivalent to the Grammy Awards among Mandarin-speaking countries.

After receiving his M.F.A. degree in musical theatre from San Diego State University, Leo moved to NYC and soon made his Off-Broadway debut in Revelation: The Musical. Selected performing credits: Monkey King, Farewell My Concubine (Reading), Mr. Holland’s Opus (Reading), Thoroughly Modern Millie, Company, The Full Monty, and Enchanted April.

As an educator, Chang has taught at many institutions in the US and Taiwan, including New York City Center, La Jolla Playhouse, San Diego State University, Grossmont College, National Taiwan University, and International Thespian Festival.
