Class of 2019, Major in Religious Studies, Minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies
My years as a Philosophy and Religious Studies major at MMC have undoubtedly gotten me to where I am now. The strong basis in philosophical theory and method alongside the close mentorship of incredible scholars such as Bradley Herling have shaped my own pedagogical style, academic interests, and ability to be a strong graduate student in ways I cannot begin to enumerate. At MMC I was never just another nameless student in the classroom, I had a face and a voice that was respected, listened to, guided, and encouraged throughout my intellectual journey.
The guidance I received from the philosophy and religious studies faculty is the reason I got into a selective graduate program. I was never just another student: I had a voice that was respected and encouraged throughout my intellectual journey.
