Paloma Brooks ’22

Class of 2022, Major in Business with a concentration in Media and Arts Management, Minors in Music and Music Industry

I’ve always wanted to combine my love of music with my interest in business and my studies at MMC support that. As an aspiring jazz singer, musicianship classes are important to help hone-in on my craft, and business classes make me a well-rounded artist because they provide me with tools to be more independent and make informed decisions behind the scenes of making music.

About

“A highlight of my studies at MMC was my internship at Jazz at Lincoln Center in the Branding, Sales & Marketing department. My experience included: assisting professional jazz musicians, going to concerts, conducting market research for an upcoming album, and organizing inventory for the in-house record label. After my internship I was selected to present my work at Honors Day. I am grateful to the business department faculty who were so excited and supportive of my collaboration of music and business.”

Paloma also completed an internship in Music Licensing at Jingle Punks and a Marketing Internship at the American Ballet Theatre. Post MMC, Paloma accepted the position of Repertory Representative at ASCAP while continuing to perform as a Jazz Vocalist.
