Paulina Eid Harasic ’21

Class of 2021, B.A. in Business with concentration in Advertising and Promotion and B.A. in Dance with a concentration in Teaching Dance Arts.

As an international student from Bolivia, I strive to utilize my art and knowledge, as well as my culture as an outlet to generate social impact, awareness, and meaningful entertainment. Marymount Manhattan College has helped me grow as an artist, individual, and professional on so many levels.

About

Marymount Manhattan College has given me the opportunity to double major in two areas that I am very fond of:  Business and Dance. I have served as a Cultural Peer Mentor (CPM) at Marymount Manhattan College; in which role, I have had the opportunity to help international students acclimate to a new country and college life. My goal has been to make international students feel welcome and create bonds with the MMC Community.

I have given my education the priority it deserves on a daily basis because I am fully aware of the incredible privilege it is for me to have access to this education. At MMC, I was able to become a member of the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society and the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO). Also, for the last three summers, I was able to go back home to Bolivia and intern at different companies in advertising and marketing. From each new experience and knowledge gained each semester, my objective has been to go back home and share the insight and new perspectives that I have encountered at this school.

I am incredibly grateful for the education I’ve had the privilege to receive for these past four years at Marymount Manhattan College and for every experience at this institution that has contributed to shaping me as a human being, which I believe will help me reach my life’s goals and dreams.
