About
Katie Hay graduated from Marymount Manhattan College in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business concentrating in Media & Arts Management. After graduating, Katie worked in development at Film at Lincoln Center for nearly three years. During her tenure, she focused on cultivating a younger, more diverse audience, and created unique engagement opportunities around New York Film Festival & New Directors / New Films festival (co-presented by MoMA) as well as campaigning with Kickstarter. Following that, Katie began working in programming for New York Magazine in January 2018. Leveraging cultural content to increase brand awareness and subscriber conversion in Vulture readers, Katie programs a screening series, panel series, and curation projects with Bryant Park Movie Nights, Nighthawk Cinema, and Strand Book Store.
Katie received acceptance to three graduate programs focusing on business and investments as related to film production – namely, CUNY Graduate School of Cinema - MFA Cinema Arts, SUNY Stony Brook University - MFA Film: Producing and The New School - MS Media Management.
