Cristina Duarte is director, actor, writer and educator. A member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), she has directed numerous productions in NYC and Santa Fe, including the premier of Jon Jory’s comical farce, The Almost Unbelievable Spectacular Christmas! As an actor, she has appeared in several films and television with recurring roles on Law and Order, One Life to Live, All My Children and a twelve-year continuing run, on Saturday Night Live as a supporting player. Cristina has taught acting, directing and theatre studies at Brooklyn College, Hunter College, Queens College and The Santa Fe University of Art and Design where she served as Lead Faculty for the Performing Arts Department. She is the proud recipient of the “2019-2020 Teaching Fellowship” from Brooklyn College, the 2018, “Singer Family Award for Excellence in Teaching” from the University of Rochester, and the 2013 “Partners in Excellence Award” from Young Audiences NY.
