Cristina Duarte is director, actor, writer, and educator. A member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), she has directed numerous productions in NYC and Santa Fe. As an actor, she has appeared in several films and television series with a continuing run on Saturday Night Live as a supporting player. For further credits visit: cristinaduartedirector.com

Cristina has taught acting, directing, and theatre studies at Brooklyn College, Hunter College, Queens College, and The Santa Fe University of Art and Design, where she served as Lead Faculty for the Performing Arts Department. She is the proud recipient of the “2019-2020 Teaching Fellowship” from Brooklyn College, the 2018, “Singer Family Award for Excellence in Teaching” from the University of Rochester, and the 2013 “Partners in Excellence Award” from Young Audiences NY.

Cristina has an MFA in Directing from Brooklyn College, an MA in Theatre Arts from Hunter College, and a BA in Literature from Bard College. Her recent play Room For Memories was a finalist in the TRU Voices Playwrighting Series, and she has a YouTube Channel @theactorsdirector, where she gives tips on acting technique and craft.
