Tera-Lee Pollin

About

Tera-Lee started her training at The New Jersey School of Ballet and Center Stage Dance and Theatre School. She then went on to study at Jacob’s Pillow, The Joffrey School of Ballet and David Howard Dance Center where she studied closely with David Howard, Gelsey Kirkland, and Michael Owens. Her summers were spent studying acting at The Lee Strausberg Institute and American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Tera-Lee graduated high school early and went into ballroom dancing, competing in both smooth and Latin dance with Arthur Murray Dance Studio and Dancesport in NYC. At age 18 she toured the country with Fame: The Musical and her dreams came true when she made her Broadway debut with Urban Cowboy the Musical! Some of her favorite shows and experiences include Mamma Mia! on Broadway (Dance Captain), Hot Feet on Broadway where she worked with the amazing Maurice Hines, American Dance Machine with Wayne Cilento at the Joyce Theatre, NYC (Dance Captain), Spamalot (Asst. Dance Captain), The Wiz at La Jolla Playhouse, Swing!, Apollo Theatre’s Club Harlem, and working with David Parsons on the Festival of Music in San Remo, Italy. Film/Television credits include Dark Horse (Dancing Bride), Old Dogs, Saturday Night Live, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and Fashion Rocks. She has performed live with Michael Jackson, Kanye West, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Whitney Houston, Gloria Gaynor, The Lonely Island Boys (Featuring Akon), and Brian McNight.

As a Choreographer/Teacher: She was Assistant Choreographer of Mamma Mia! at Sacramento Music Circus this summer. She directed and choreographed the Song and Dance project for CAP21/Molloy College 2017 and 2019. She was a guest teacher/choreographer in Germany for Musiktheatre Bavaria in 2016 and 2017, and at Houghton College in 2021. She is a RYT-200, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Nutrition Specialist, and Corrective Exercise Specialist. Tera-Lee is currently on the teaching faculty at Marymount Manhattan College, Steps on Broadway, and The Joffrey Ballet School. She is also a guest choreographer at the exclusive Canyon Ranch Spa in Tucson, AZ and Lenox, MA.
