William Barclay (Art Direction/Film Lighting) is active in the theatre, film, television, and live events. In film, he has served as Production Designer on She’s the One, I Love You, I Love You Not, Men of Respect, Seven Girlfriends, Simply Irresistible, and others. He has been Art Director on over a dozen feature films, including Glengarry Glen Ross, Sudden Death, Beaches (Academy Award Nom.), and The Crow. On Broadway, he designed Solitary Confinement with Stacy Keach and Sally Marr…and Her Escorts with Joan Rivers. Off-Broadway designs include A Shayna Maidel, Goblin Market, Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill (original production), and the revivals of Berlin to Broadway with Kurt Wiell and Alan Sherman’s Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh, among others. Barclay has designed more than 160 productions in New York and at regional theaters across the country, and has been nominated for the Drama Desk, Outer Critics, Helen Hayes, and Dramalogue Awards. He has also designed award winning TV commercials, consulted on PBS documentaries, and designed corporate events internationally.
