Jonathan Finegold Is the founder of Fine Gold Music; a music licensing and publishing company. He represents many indie labels/artists/publishers including Westbound (Funkadelic), Anderson, Paak, DRAM, and Eminem.

His licensing work has been heard in ads for Apple iPhones, Nike, Spotify, Cadillac, and more. Movies and trailer work include Furious 7, The Big Short, Moneyball, and more. TV shows include: Homeland, Mad Men, Narcos, Westworld, The Chi, and many more.

Finegold has served as music supervisor on many indie films and documentaries. His credits include the Netflix docuseries Lenox Hill and Playroom starring Oscar-nominated John Hawkes. He has worked with John Legend’s film/TV production company Get Lifted, where he supered the feature Can You Dig It and HBO’s documentary Southern Rites. Other recent films include the documentary And We Go Green which debuted at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, The Truffle Hunters (Sony Classics) which world premiered in 2020 at Sundance, and the 2017 Sundance Sloane prize-winning Marjorie Prime starring Jon Hamm.

He is currently an adjunct instructor in the music business at both New York University and Marymount Manhattan College. He previously taught at the Clive Davis Dept. of Recorded Music in NYU’s Tisch School. He has lectured at the Berklee College of Music and New School. He’s a Grammy-voting member of NARAS for over 20 years and a voting member of the Guild of Music Supervisors.
