Rose Frances DiMartino, J.D.
Rose Frances DiMartino is a veteran mutual fund industry lawyer. She received a BA (cum laude) from Catholic University of America in 1974, an MA from Fordham University in 1977, and a JD (cum laude) from St. John’s University School of Law in 1981.
In 2019, Ms. DeMartino retired as a partner in the New York law firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, where she worked for over 40 years in the asset management department. An expert on the Investment Company Act of 1940, she has over 30 years of experience counseling registered investment companies and their advisers in all aspects of fund organization and operation. In 2018, the year before her retirement, Ms. DeMartino was honored by St. John’s Law for professional excellence and outstanding contributions to her field.
In 2021, Ms. DiMartino played a leading role in founding and building the Alumnae Leadership Council at St. John’s Law to provide community and support for women entering the legal profession. A central component of the Alumnae Council is the Mentoring Circles Program, designed as a series of six sessions for up to 60 mentees and 18 mentors. The Council and its central program demomstrate Ms. DiMartino’s commitment to the success and well-being of others in both their personal and professional lives.
