Neil A. Gouveia

With ten years of higher education experience in alumni engagement and communications, Neil Andrew Gouveia oversees all aspects of alumni and family engagement at Marymount Manhattan College. He believes the alumni experience begins on the first day a student enters college. His motto is “Happy students will one day be happy alumni.”

Prior to MMC, Neil served first as the Assistant Director of Public Affairs at Vaughn College and then as its Director of Alumni Relations and Development, planning galas, reunions, and international fundraising trips. He later Joined St. Joseph’s College as Associate Director of Alumni Engagement to develop virtual alumni content and co-manage the College’s social media outlets.

Before entering higher education, Neil worked in television news at WNYW Fox 5, Fox News Channel and Dateline NBC. He holds a BA in Communications from St. John’s University and a MSEd in Higher Education from Baruch College.
