Mary Fleischer

About

Mary Fleischer is a Professor of Theatre Arts at Marymount Manhattan College. She holds a Ph.D. in Theatre from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, and her interdisciplinary interests have generated performance, publications, conference presentations and workshops on modernist and experimental theatre, dance, and music. At MMC, she has directed productions (including plays by Ionesco, Strindberg, Ayckbourn, Beckett, Wilson, Pinter, Durang and Stoppard), and teaches courses in directing, dramatic literature, performance theory and history, new media, and producing. She has served in many faculty leadership roles, and she received the MMC Teaching Excellence Award.
