Erin Fogarty ’05
About
Erin Fogarty ’05 is a 2005 graduate of Marymount Manhattan College, where she studied both theater and dance. She then joined Carolina Ballet, where she performed roles in a number of George Balanchine’s most famous works as well as works by Lynne Taylor-Corbett, Robert Weiss and Tyler Walters. During this time, she also served as Assistant Director of Administration for the New York State Summer School of the Arts Ballet and remained on their teaching faculty until 2015.
After moving back to New York City in 2009, she joined Ballet NY under the direction of Judith Fugate and Medhi Bahiri and also joined the Manhattan Youth Ballet Faculty. She was promoted to Director of Programming in 2011 and served as Director of Programming through the end of 2021 and remains an Artistic Advisor to the school.
Erin also served as executive assistant to Damian Woetzel on a variety of his projects over the years including the Vail International Dance Festival; Aspen Institute Arts Program; an arts salute to Stephen Hawking for the World Science Festival; two Turnaround Arts performances at the White House and the first performance of the White House Dance Series hosted by Michelle Obama.
She began Dance Against Cancer, an Evening to Benefit the American Cancer Society in 2010 with producing partner and longtime friend, Daniel Ulbricht. Since its inception, Dance Against Cancer has raised over $2.7 million for the American Cancer Society and hosts an annual gala performance at Lincoln Center featuring luminaries in the dance and music world all donating their time and talent to aid in the life-changing work of ACS.
Erin is now thrilled to take on the role of Executive Director of GALLIM Dance working with visionary artist and GALLIM’s Artistic Director, Andrea Miller.
