Randi D. Adelstein
About
Ms. Adelstein is Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Regulatory Affairs at Mastercard, where she advises its executive management on global regulatory issues in areas such as central bank engagements and regulatory oversight, licenses, and systemic importance. In addition, Ms. Adelstein advises Mastercard’s Global Board of Directors on regulatory compliance risk and is counsel to the organization on sanctions and AML. She manages a team of regulatory attorneys, regulatory compliance professionals, and regulatory advocates located around the world.
Prior to 2011, Ms. Adelstein served as Litigation counsel for Mastercard. Prior to joining Mastercard in 2005, Ms. Adelstein was an associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, and Clifford Chance US LLP, where she counseled clients on a range of issues, including antitrust, securities, white collar, and complex commercial litigation. Ms. Adelstein was a member of the Consumer Advisory Board of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (“CFPB”), a group that advised the regulator’s leadership on a broad range of consumer financial issues and emerging market trends.
Ms. Adelstein is a mentor with the American Corporate Partners program and has been a mentor in the Her Honor Mentoring program and the Pace University Law School Mentoring Program.
Ms. Adelstein received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan, a Master of Science degree from Long Island University, and a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Fordham University.
