Class of 2022, Double Major in Digital Journalism and Theatre History

When the time came to scope out colleges in New York City to pursue a degree in journalism, I only sent a single application out. I knew from the beginning Marymount Manhattan’s Digital Journalism program was the education I needed to be a journalist in the digital era.

About

I’m currently the nights/weekends reporter at Playbill, but I began working and writing within the theatre industry during my sophomore year at MMC as a freelance theatre journalist. Prior to joining Playbill, I contributed news articles, features, personal essays, and reviews to theatre publications like American Theatre, TheaterMania, Theatrely, and The Theatre Development Fund’s TDF Stages. I also became a voting member of the Outer Critics Circle in 2022. I joined Playbill’s team in December 2022, which has been my dream since day one. I cover all sorts of news within the theatre industry, particularly breaking news that comes out after hours. I also have the opportunity to do features and interviews, and my first physically published feature interviewing Ben Platt and Micaela Diamond was in this April’s Playbill, which you can grab at any Broadway theatre while seeing a show!
