About Jessica:

Jessica Watkins is obtaining her BFA in dance at Marymount Manhattan College, concentrating in choreography with a minor in business management. In Virginia Beach, where she is from, she attended Salem High School’s visual and performing arts academy (VPAA). She has attended and received scholarships from Old Dominion University’s Summer Intensive and received a full scholarship for Bates Dance Festival in 2020. She also received a full tuition scholarship for the Summer Immersion Project 2023 with Boston Dance Theater. Jessica has taught and choreographed at her high school and college at Chesapeake Center for Student Success, a local studio program called “Rhythm and Pulse”, and student workshops at MMC as well as their Dancer’s at Work (DAW) Productions. Both in Virginia and New York Jessica has not only worked and taught in the concert dance field but also film. She’s been a dancer for CBN’s Superbook TV Show Series music videos as well as Damien Bao’s film project “Eclectic” that premiered at the opening of David Gueffen Hall in Lincoln Center. Additionally, Jessica hasattained a career in roller dance through the MissileTeam company based in Brooklyn, NY and has performed throughout the city in the Dance NYC Parade as well as in private events.

Jessica is ecstatic to continue her aspirations of becoming a professional dancer, choreographer, actress, and rollerdancer. Also, becoming multifaceted in managing and artistic directing as she has worked with Urban Bush Women as their Office Administrative Intern.
