Coleman Ray Clark (Director/Foley Designer) is thrilled to be back at his alma mater directing SpongeBob! Coleman’s work is often highly collaborative, inventive, and full of sound.
Recent directing credits include Sweeney Todd (Arts One Presents), Papa (New Hazlett Theater), Solastalgia (MMC), and Jesus Christ Superstar (Fordham University’s Mimes and Mummers). As a co-founder of the theater collective, The What Co., Coleman directed M. Can Yasar’s new folk-musical Only Place I Belong (The Tank), a site-specific parking lot play Blue Marble Or The Owen Play, and Bare: A Pop Opera (St. John’s Lutheran Church).
As an artistic leader, Coleman has worked on and off Broadway and around the world with The 24 Hour Plays, where he served as Deputy Director for three years. In 2021 and 2022, Coleman was part of the Tony Award-Winning general management team at 101 Productions, working on the Broadway productions of Dear Evan Hansen, Pretty Woman, Some Like It Hot, and more.
