Professor Khajo’s Ph. D. thesis research was devoted to the detection and analysis of radicals and reactive oxygen species and their interaction with biological molecules. His expertise includes electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy (EPR), rapid freeze-quenching and spin-trapping of paramagnetic species, fast protein liquid chromatography (FPLC), isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC), UV-Vis and stopped-flow spectrometry.
After completing his Ph. D. work, he did his post-doctoral training at Brooklyn College under the supervision of Professor Richard Magliozzo (2012-2014).
He started teaching General, Organic and Biochemistry courses at several NYC colleges as an adjunct assistant professor in 2014.
He joined Marymount Manhattan College as an adjunct assistant professor in Fall 2021. As an adjunct at MMC, he taught General Chemistry I & II labs and Forensic Science lecture.
In Fall 2023 he was hired as a Visiting Assistant Professor and will be teaching General Chemistry I & II, Organic Chemistry I & II and Biochemistry lectures and labs.
He has several publications, poster presentations and awards.
