About

Eliana Fassihi, originally from Washington, DC, completed her Bachelor’s at McGill University in Montreal, studying physiology and math with a minor in English literature. After six wonderful years in Montreal, she returned to DC, taking on a central role at an outpatient surgery center as Clinical Coordinator and Lead Medical Assistant. It was this experience that steered her toward becoming a physician assistant, guiding her to Marymount Manhattan as a post-bac student.

When she’s not immersed in textbooks or spearheading research—with a recent win alongside Dr. Leri for a viral study about fecal indicator bacteria in city sandboxes—Eliana’s at the lab. She tackles every challenge with her signature “MacGyver flair,” and she’s always keen to inspire students to think outside the box. Off-duty, Eliana’s a food lover on a never-ending quest for NYC’s next best bite. So if you stumble upon a hidden culinary gem, she’s all ears and eager to hear!
