About

Skye Bronfenbrenner (she/her) is a storyteller with specialties in Movement, Stage Combat, and Theatrical Intimacy. She holds an MFA in Theatre from the University of Houston where she was recently teaching Movement for the Actor in the BFA program. Skye is also a Certified Teacher with the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD) and as a fight and intimacy director her work has been seen at the Houston Grand Opera, Catastrophic Theatre, Rec Room Arts, the University of Houston, and Rice University. She has taught movement, combat, and intimacy workshops through her work in the SAFD, as a Teaching Artist for the Alley Theatre, and as Movement Faculty for Houston Grand Opera’s Butler Studio. As an actor her resume includes work at Stages Repertory Theatre, the Houston Shakespeare Festival, the Fireside Theatre, and she has toured with the national tours of Beauty and the Beast, Guys and Dolls, and the international tour of Shrek the Musical. Education is her passion and she is thrilled to be at Marymount to make bold work safely with this community!
